Manual Transmission: Fuel Consumption

We had a lot of discussions on various topics during the 02/07/2016  member's meet in Abuja, last weekend. I recalled one of us asking specifically about manual transmissions and fuel consumption , and how to achieve the fuel economy claimed. It was an important question, because not many people know why they seem not to achieve fuel economy expected.

Peugeots: Motivation or Inspirations?

Motivation demands effort, while Inspiration is ease.

Motivation is putting up with something to make something work, even if you find the subject or process uncomfortable. It’s like being pushed. Probably because you learnt that the process or subject will help you get there or have that, even if you have to work very hard or struggle to do that, which could leave you unhappy while in it. But you continue to put up

Why?

People watching me or taking interest in what I do have been asking, "Why V6 Lions? Why are you so passionate or love your Lions that much? Is there much difference between these Peugeots aggressively designed with high power and the conventional ones?"

Words don't usually express how you really feel about a subject, because words you speak don't usually express what you really mean. What you mean is really how you feel and its quite hard for anyone outside you to really know exactly how you feel.

However, this is my answer to all the above questions: There is a difference between fun and happiness. Happiness is a state of being, while fun is in the moment. When I sit behind my aggressively designed powerful Peugeots steering wheels and geared them into quick actions, the thrill of pleasure I get in those moments is what makes the difference. The powers and overall characters they posses are there for me to choose moments of fun or just be happy.

Appreciation of Peugeot 504 GL: Personal Experience.

Image found and taken from internet

Sometime in 1980-1981, my father, Sir Samuel E. Udeagwu, travelled from katsina town to Kaduna (the then Kaduna state), in his 4 years old immaculate white Peugeot 504 GL he acquired brand new in 1976. On his way back to Katsina (his family), he picked up his dear friend’s wife at Kaduna, who was with her about 1 year old baby girl, to drop her to her family at katsina, as a favor to his friend

Comment from a Peugeot 508 GT Owner

So here's my thoughts as a new 508 owner.
First off, I bought this car without ever sitting in one, let alone driving it! Crazy maybe? Well I did plenty of reading beforehand and it was almost all good. I am also a firm believer in the adage that "if it looks right, it is right"...

Appreciation of Peugeot 505 V6: Personal Experience

As early as 1979, Peugeot launched and commenced sale of Peugeot 505, a RWD Lion, designed by Pininfarina, which replaced Peugeot 504. The first series (phase 1) of 505 sold so well and massively that Peugeot thought of and decided to facelift or revised the car. In 1986, Peugeot introduced the facelifted 505 (phase 2) into the market, which was a big improvement on phase1 or pre-facelift. This time, Peugeot added a V6 engine in 505, known as ZN3J, hence, The 505 V6.

Update: Peugeot ES9J4S/ES9A Spark Plug (OEM)

Most people only replace their spark plugs only when their engine start rough idling, misfiring, etc. But what they don't realise is, by the time a spark plug gets that bad that it starts misfiring or fails completely, it would have introduced other problems as well, such as reducing lifespan of Catalytic converter, building up carbons on combustion chambers,

The good thing about Peugeot cars with ES9J4S and ES9A V6 engines is that they have a way of telling the owners when Spark plugs are due for replacement, without total failure, misfiring, rough idling, etc.

Conversation With Lion King (Episode 2)

What is Brainbox in Peugeot Cars?

Lion King:  There is no such thing in Peugeot cars called Brainbox. What people call brainbox is actually ECU (Electronic Control Unit). It's an electronic module that controls and monitors certain parts of Peugeot cars, especially the newer Peugeot engines that are electronically controlled. The module that controls engines of newer Peugeots is known as Injection or Engine ECU. There were days when Peugeot engines were controlled by Ignition ECU and Injection ECU, but it's now one module.

Horn Menace

Few days ago, I drove to a place and as I was walking into a building, a thought flashed through my mind. "How does this Lions horn sound? Are you sure the horn still works?" etc. As I was pondering this thoughts/questions, I quickly rushed back to the Lion, pressed the horn switch. I smiled when I heard that unique Peugeot horn sound. I started wondering why I felt something could be wrong with the horn or why I didn't remember how the lions horn sound. Then it hit me,

Rear Wheel Alignment

Picture taken from Total Fuel Station.
Not everyone is aware that rear wheels need to be aligned, just as the front wheels are done. Not everyone that knows the rear wheels are meant to be aligned, knows the importance. Hence, a lot of people only align their Peugeot cars front wheels.

That your tyres currently look good does not mean
